wednesdays at bickett
April 27, 2004 on 4:46 pm | In Happenings | 1 CommentHello folks.
There’s going to be a regular stompdown, Wednesday nights at Bickett Gallery in Raleigh. Sort of a jazz/improvised music night. I’ll be organizing the bands beforehand — I’m calling it the Crowmeat Cohort. It’ll be free admission for a trial period but there’ll be a tithe-jar for the band you cheap bastards. And you have to make confession.
Here’s the schedule so far (please let me know if you want regular updates on this):
April 28 — Razor Wire Safety Net (this will be our regular bi-weekly band, with additional guest members)
Christopher Thurston — basses
Brian Donohoe — drums
Slew-Mo Elbo — alto sax, guitar, bass clarinet, trombone
May 5 — The Blue Rose Case
Chris Eubank — cello/bass
Carrie Shull — oboe/english horn
Dan Hall — drums
Crawmote Obb — guitar, bass clarinet, alto sax
May 12 — Razor Wire Safety Net with guest (undetermined — probably Craig Hilton on guitar if he’s in town)
May 19 – (not yet solidified)
May 26 – Razor Wire with guest (undetermined — probably John Randall Pelosi on tenor sax and guitar)
June 2 — Haptickle Optrickery
Phon (Drew and Dustin, formerly The Gaze) — guitars, electronics, laptop, stuff
Mortecaw Elbo — alto sax, bass clarinet, guitar
(probably additional members)
So okay. Again, let me know if you want regular updates…..
