By and by there’ll come a time when idle lives start to mind. In the sweet by and bye the time will sign when idle minds start to wind.

Tonight, Wednesday, November 8, Kings: Kolyma with The Men and The Spores.
Kolyma and The Men are both a part of that loose Raleigh movement, a confederation of unlike-minded weirdos, that’s coming to be known nationally as Smirch. We share a practice space.
The Spores are some kinda LA-pop-rock-diva-MTV-fodder group, but kinda interesting nonetheless…and they have marionettes, and Devo as a MySpace friend: http://www.thespores.com/main.shtml

Tuesday, November 14, Century, Charlotte, NC: Project Bluebird with Josh Berman/Keefe Jackson and The Lay All Over Its.
Project Bluebird is a Charlotte/Triangle neo-gno-jazz collaboration featuring Brent Bagwell (The Eastern Seaboard, Pyramid) on reeds, Ben Kennedy (Pyramid) on cello and violin, Ron Brendle (http://www.ronbrendle.com/) on double bass, Carrie Shull (pulsoptional, Eugene Chadbourne’s Insect and Western and Ellington Country) on oboe and english horn, and Crowmeat Bob on reeds.
The other groups are Chicagoans on tour:
The Lay All Over Its feature Jason Ajemian and Nori Tanaka (www.myspace.com/lovealloverit).
Berman and Jackson are a part of this: http://www.chicagoluzernexchange.com/

The yours belie the mines but mines don’t mind if they do.
