State of Crisis
May 16, 2007 on 9:42 am | In Happenings | No CommentsWe would like to caution all citizens against curbing shopping habits in this moment of crisis. If you must panic, do so in a consumer-friendly zone for ease of sublimation.
Sunday, May 13, 9:30 pm, Bickett Gallery: Craig Hilton & Crowmeat Bob with Glass Witch and Pacific Before Tiger.
Plus around 7:00 or 7:30 they’re going to show the 80’s classic documentary They Live. It’s all true.
And since you have nothing to do tonight [Saturday] you should tune in to WXDU (wxdu.org) between 10 pm and midnight (EST) and mean your while away.
Next week Amy Wilkinson and myself will be collaborating with the Pykrete Percussion Unit on dual bass clarinets. That’s Wednesday, May 16, at the Local 506.
Then I believe I’ll be a part of the SoundScape Movement Fest evening at Nightlight on Friday, May 18. We go on at 10 pm.
And May 24th I’ll be spinning the supersonic sounds of Sun Ra for my jazz show on XDU. 6-8 pm. In honor of Ra’s Arrival Day (actually the 22nd).

Don’t forget, there’s music samples under the “Psych Warfare Transmissions” tab.
The Hand of God
May 2, 2007 on 1:30 pm | In Happenings | No CommentsClose your prayer books for a couple hours and come to the Freakshow tonight. Where God will touch you in uncomfortable places.
Wednesday, May 2, 9 pm, 1304 Flint Place (near the IHOP, off Ashe Ave), Raleigh, donations: Savage Knights with Dig Shovel Dig and possibly Boyzone and maybe another band.
Our first non-radio-station gig with our new bassiste, Ugly American Chris Eubank. We’re gettin hip to the latest house-show-renaissance in Raleigh.
Dig Shovel Dig are sorta haywire dub with no respect for common sense. myspace.com/digshoveldig
Noisemongers Boyzone are here: myspace.com/boyszone
If you’re in Charleston or Asheville come see the Nein:
Thursday, May 3, The Map Room, Charleston, SC
Friday, May 4, Broadway’s Asheville, NC
Not sure who we’re playing with but I’m sure it’ll be a bang-up time.
And there’s another show at Flint Place that I’ll likely be contributing to on Tuesday the 8th with The Serpents from Asheville. More information as things develop.
