It beehives us to demark now and whirr on de nature of certain in-particulate specifics which you may or may not have flung to the nither reaches of your proto-subjectivizin’ selfcell, having been disbeleafed and doomstruct at the mire thinkin-upon of whit may fallow. But rust easy in your disyllogisment, the cure is fast to hand. Pry your shuttered hear-tunnels from their willful exile and allow them to feast on sounds yet unsounded in dis- ancient -continuum.
Thusly:
Friday, March 12, Broad St Cafe, Durham, 9:30, $5: D-Town Brass with The Travesties, The Loners, The Pneurotics and Love Language.
A benefit for Reese McHenry (of Dirty Little Heaters) and her pharmacist. I believe D-Town will go on at 9:30. Ought to be a bang up time.
Saturday, March 13, Pour House, Raleigh: Dex Romweber Duo with Killer Filler and Hank Sinatra
I’ll be joining Dex & Sara for a number or two.
And be shear and speak up to your midwest friends out in the heart of the heart of the country if you think they mought take in a pre-formance by Savage Knights next week:
March 18: Lynchburg, VA - The Good Cherry
March 19: Louisville, KY - Derby City Espresso
March 20: Muncie, IN - MoTini’s
March 21: Chicago, IL - The Hungry Brain
And if’n ye cain’t partake of neither of these here approaching thro’downs with Tatsuya Nakatani then there’s no fixin’ what ails you:
Tuesday, March 23, Nightlight, Chapel Hill, 9:30: Nervous Creep with Tatsuya Nakatani and more.
A night of insanely brilliant solo percussion work from Tatsuya and off-hinged collaborations between he and Nervous Creep in a rickety doom-folk vein. Also some trio improvisations with Tatsuya, Crowmeat Bob and Christopher Thurston.
Wednesday, March 24, Marsh Woodwinds, Raleigh, 8:00: Microcephalic Superintendent with Tatsuya Nakatani.
Another solo set from Tatsuya (if you see the one at Nightlight on Tuesday and you’re a sentient being, you’ll likely want to see it again at Marsh on Wednesday) and a collaboration with Microcephalic Superintendent (a chamber improv group featuring Chris Eubank on cello, Craig Hilton on guzheng, Carrie Shull on oboe/english horn, Todd Hershberger on bassoon, possibly a couple more sure-as-shit string players.)
Dat’s ill she wrat.
