Prep yourselves for an auto-autopsy once the knowledge grabs you that you’ve been bein’ among the living dead for some time now and the nagging question of just what transpired leaks in from somewhere beyond your atrophied pineal gland. So get yourself a knife and a fork and get yourself some time to go to work and don’t wait no longer for necrosis to gnaw away at your epidermal tissue. It’s you and no one else so don’t make it anything other than what the pain you used to feel tells you it might’ve been, climbing through the roughshod twilight plastic coating on the flickering apemind spire of law and language, the sting of the order-word biting your bitter end all the while.

Tuesday, April 27, 9:30, Local 506, Chapel Hill: Ezekiel Graves, Cellar Seas.
Myselves’ll be sitting in on a number with Zeke. Plus he’s having plenty of other guests join him during his set, including I’m led to believe the rest of the roster of Nervous Creep, Aaron Smithers and Charlie Hearon.

Wednesday, April 28, Nightlight, Chapel Hill, 7:30: International Noise Conference
You can see the full listing here: nightlightclub.com
I believe I’ll be doing a quick solo set.

Saturday, May 1, Haw River Festival, Saxapahaw, 7:00: D-Town Brass.
Hope it don’t rain.
I believe Saxapahaw is a small enough place that you can find the Festival when you get there.
Take 54 west from Carrboro/Chapel Hill, left on Saxapahaw-Bethlehem Church Rd, and that’ll take you to Saxapahaw.

Babylonian fertility rites coming to your neighborhood:

Wednesday, April 7, Nightlight, Chapel Hill, 9:30 pm: Savage Knights, Great Architect, Moenda, and DJ Nasty Boots.
Yeah but so this is going to be a righteous fine time.
A couple of killer bands from Charlotte.
Moenda are some kinda carefully sculpted rhythm & noise outfit. Check ‘em out: http://www.myspace.com/moenda
Great Architect is a bad-ass free jazz group: http://www.myspace.com/hellogreatarchitect
And you know who DJ Nasty Boots is.
You ought to come. You know who you are.

Friday, April 9, Nightlight: In the Year of the Pig, Monsonia, Secret Boyfriend, Hiss Golden Messenger.
Looks like I’ll be part of the Golden Fire Pig Orchestra (In the Year of the Pig) that night. This is their long-awaited CD release party.
I also play on the upcoming release from Hiss Golden Messenger, which I believe will just be Michael Taylor solo for this night.

Thursday, April 15, Marvell Event Center, Durham, 7:30: Savage Knights, Sacrificial Poets, J. Bully.
A benefit for the Farm Labor Organizing Committee. I believe we’re going first, so get there early and then hang out for a set each of consciousness and gangsta rap.

By the by, I finally got around to putting a discography of my recording visitations on my website. It’s at the bottom of the Psych Warfare Transmissions page of Retroactive Dynamics.

More soon,
