Friday, June 18, Golden Belt, Durham, 8:30, free: D-Town Brass
The Independent Weekly’s Best of the Triangle party. As far as I’m concerned, the best of the triangle is the Lemoine point. But they’ll have food and stuff like that. Part of the Third Friday art thing in Durham.

and Baltimore cellist/vocalist Audrey Chen, two nights in the Triangle:

Thursday, June 24, Nightlight, Chapel Hill: Microcephalic Superintendent with Kamama (Audrey Chen and Luca Marini)
You for sure want to check out Kamama. Audrey is a front-line cellist/vocalist improviser out of Baltimore, bringing along Drummer Luca Marini for this tour.
Microcephalic Superintendent will be Chris Eubank - cello; Craig Hilton - guzheng; Carrie Shull - oboe/english horn; George Lam - violin; Crowmeat Bob - reeds.
There’s some samples of previous Microcephalic shows up under the “Psych Warfare Transmissions” tab at retroactivedynamics.com.

Friday, June 25, Marsh Woodwinds, Raleigh, donation: Savage Knights with Kamama (Audrey Chen and Luca Marini)
For their second stop in the neighborhood, Kamama will share the bill with Savage Knights (myspace.com/savageknights).

Happy Bloomsday.
